How to Make Vegan Waffles Using Aunt Jemima's Original Pancake Mix

This is how I made vegan waffles using Aunt Jemima's Original Pancake mix. The instructions call for milk and eggs, but I used almond milk and a banana. Surprisingly, it didn't taste like banana. Read on to learn how to make some killer waffles.

Step 1: Grab your waffle maker.

Step 2: Measure...

  • 1 cup of Aunt Jemima's Original Pancake Mix.

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 1/3 cup mashed banana

Step 3: Combine & stir. I had to add a few more splashes of almond milk.

The mix should be roughly the consistency of pancake batter—not so thick and clumpy that it's sticking to your fork/whisk, but not so runny that it's essentially water. Find that sweet spot.

Step 4: Put that stuff on the waffle iron. Like this.

Don't make the batter too piled on or it won't cook thoroughly.

Step 5: Cook it & Wait.

This waffle iron's light turns green when the waffle is ready.

Step 6: Enjoy.

Put whatever you like on those yummy sons of guns. Syrup, fruit, cinnamon, etc. Look at you. Breakfast Champion.
